Now April - part 1

I've got a world record of posts going. The Hoopes came down for Easter and we had a great time. It's a whole lotta kids running around. These pictures are out at Cedar Mountain and the Wedge. Pictures don't do them justice. The scenery either.
Model for Total Cute magazine.Blonde headed pipsqueakers. We love the term pipsqueaker. It can be applied to so many different situations.
The old cool ones at the Wedge overlook. Stuff like this freaks me out, especially since I know our kids are old enough to let them have a little freedom to roam and explore. Great.
All the eggs in the neighborhood feared for their lives.

We're getting there...

The kids thought that they were the funniest people on the face of the planet this night. It's possible that they were correct. I love the pink oompa loompa over there on the right (no, I'm not talking about Melody).
First tooth gone.
Our neighbor and home teacher runs Hazmat for Verizon and has to/gets to use this truck. It's every mans (and boys) dream. He took the boys for a spin. I don't even know why he lives in his house.
First time at the wave pool. What? You didn't know that Price has a wave pool? Oh yeah, we know how to party.
Our neighbor does awesome face paintings. Wait til I post the next batch. They freaked me out.

More catching up to do.

It's good to let your children fall asleep with suckers in their mouths, right?
We have to post one of these photos every year. I believe it is part of our blogger contract "Post a picture of one of your children sitting in a fire engine or you are no kind of parents at all."
Bird discovery day. This was pretty darn awesome if you ask me.
In case you were wondering about our level of red-neckitude...
...you need wonder no more. Yes, we went to Monster Jam. I am still having a hard time hearing.

Another year, another post

Love these boys.
And these girly girls.
I think I had more fun on these snow mountains than the kids. You should have seen the tunnel network we created. It was extraordinary. Took me back to my childhood.

Noah needed to make a project with 100 somethings. I wholeheartedly approve of his choice.
This is Melody's wall. For a very long time she has wanted a wall like this. She's living the dream now. This came as a part of our major remodeling jones. Not really that major, but for us it is. Repainting the whole upstairs, new molding and baseboards, new tile, repainting all our casing (it was ugly dark brown). So we did more in 4 months in this house than we did in 4 years in the other house. And this was all because we wanted to get new carpet. That was 4 months ago...we still don't have the carpet.
My first tile job. I know I should have had this experience already, but it was fun. Thanks Ed. It also helps to only have to make 2 cuts for the whole area.
I'm glad this remained modest for whomever is in there with Blythe. She certainly maintained her modesty. When it's time to bathe, who wants to wait?
Price free ice slipping around and hitting your head day.
This is how both a Johnson and a Bradford ice skate. I had to protect the camera so I sacrificed my skating time.
This kids love the 3 inch platform when performing.

We are still recovering from October

Whoever recommended having three children in the same month was crazy. And then somebody else said that it would be great to celebrate Halloween during that same month. We need to have a talk with that person. We mentioned that Boyd turned 5 (and we went to the races - a very Prician moment for us). It was followed shortly thereafter by Blythe's first birthday, which of course involves a child hungry for sweets going to town on their own little lady bug. Melody does great with these cakes.
She's a little trepidatious..
But somehow manages to overcome her natural daintiness and really enjoy everything there is to enjoy. It makes me wish we still got to do this, then birthdays would mean something again.
This is Noah's cake. I've mentioned several times how much he loves football, so he got his very own field, complete with goalposts made to Louie Sakodas specifications. You will notice in the bottom corner that mom took a few liberties that were not previously approved by the birthday cake steering committee. What power ranger can resist. We can't believe he is seven. This was Noah's present. There are a few family members (aunties and grandpappy) that should be in this photo. Lucky the Utes won in overtime or my boys would have been banned for life because of their bad luck. We found out that, while Noah hangs on every play, Boyd is very content eating fruit by the foot for three hours. And now we get to the crown jewels. Melody does a magnificent job every year with these, and as a bonus, she gets to visit DI every other day to raid for potential costume accessories. See if you can guess this years theme...

Got it yet?
Getting warmer.
A poker playing family?
This ended up awesome. Melody wanted me to point out that the crown eventually shrunk a few inches. She colored the black stripes underneath with magic marker and we all were high for the next several days. Notice her devoted subjects groveling at her feet.Ada calls this the "Madder Hat"Just in case you are still in the dark...
So we love October, but we also love when it is over.

Farewell to summer - we will miss ye

News and notes after a fun and eventful summer.
Trial run for family pictures. The rough draft if you will.
I dig the hair do.
And again...
We went to Deseret Thunder Raceway. I am not ashamed. The kids loved it...after we got some earplugs.
First season of soccer. As a former defender myself, I could't be prouder that this boy is a defensive monster (can you say that of a five year old?)
Learning the stairs
Birthdays (now 3)
Hiking with siblings.
Raging waters with cousins
Ninja destruction at the reunion
This lovely lady's golden birthday - I won't tell you how old, but her birthday is on the 30th.
Horses up in Logan.
N loves football. Here's his flag football debut. He did really well, but his team lost in the Super Bowl. He also knows more about football than me by now.
Had to get some work done around the house. Took out this load of trash but M made me bring it back.
And it's a good thing she did.
Birthdays galore. He's in a major monster truck stage.
I don't remember anything about this.
